1. How do I know if a peddler or solicitor is licensed?

When a solicitor or peddler comes to your door, that person must be wearing a city-issued ID card. The ID card will include the city logo (in color) and a staff signature.

If you do not see an ID card or if you are told that it's with the person's boss, please call City Hall at 509-755-6700 during business hours, or contact 911 after 5 p.m. and on weekends.
