Where do I go to apply for or renew a concealed pistol license?
Since the horrific events that took place in Connecticut on December 14th, 2012, concealed pistol license (CPL) applicants in Spokane County have overwhelmed Police Records as well as Forensics. The number of applicants has jumped to three to four times the amount per day compared to the numbers prior to December 14th, 2012.

Police Records & Forensic personnel would like the public to know that the expected wait to apply for CPL can range anywhere from two to three hours. Applications are at the Public Safety Building. Applicants have to go to the Public Safety Building to submit the application in person. A background check and fingerprints are also required. Successful applicants will have permits mailed to them as soon as possible after they are accepted.
