We're several months and several more degrees away from November's unveiling of the Winter Glow Spectacular at Orchard Park. But ... the planning to make that dazzling event happen again is under way right now with the 2nd annual Winter Glow Spectacular Golf Tournament, which is coming to the Liberty Lake Golf Course at 24403 E. Sprague Ave. on Saturday, June 10.
Supporters of the community's seasonal Winter Glow display can assist the upcoming golf fundraiser in two ways: By registering as a golfer in the tournament, and by sponsoring a hole or a door prize.
Want to be a player? The June 10 tournament involves a four-person scramble with an 8 a.m. shotgun start. Check-in starts at 6:30 a.m. that morning. Awards will be given to the top three teams, plus there's a hole in one prize available to win a golf cart. The entry fee of $125 per golf includes green fees, cart, and lunch, with proceeds benefitting Winter Glow. Registration deadline is Saturday, May 27, but potential golfers are advised to register early in order to avoid having the available spots fill up. Want to sponsor a door prize or one of the holes? Contributors can sponsor a hole for $100, a door prize or gift card for $25, or the combination of both a hole and a door prize for $125.
