During Monday-Thursday, May 2-5, the Washington State Dept. of Transportation and N.A. Degerstrom will be performing an excavation operation for the Kramer Bridge project that will require traffic control. Because of the extensive nature of this work, all eastbound and westbound lanes of traffic will be funneled down to one lane on Country Vista Drive at Kramer during 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be one lane for both directions using flaggers and traffic control to stop oncoming traffic in order to allow opposing traffic to pass. Work on Monday-Wednesday is scheduled to excavate and place pipe; work on Thursday is scheduled to repave the surface cut section. There will be traffic delays for both directions during the high school drop-off morning peak and afternoon pick-up break. This road operation will need the full duration of time during Monday-Wednesday so that this scheduling window for the paving contractor crew to be available can avoid needing to delay the work until late May if this work window is missed.
