What's Happening In The City Of Liberty Lake?

-City hall and the library will follow these hours for the holidays:

Dec. 24th              No services or appt. after 12:00

Dec. 25th              Holiday closure

Dec. 31st               No services or appt. after 3 pm

Jan. 1.                   Holiday closure

-The City of Liberty Lake would like to extend a very warm welcome to the new Police Chief, Chief Damon Simmons!

-The Liberty Lake Police Department would like to remind everyone that tis is the season for attempted scams through email as well as phone messages.  You may receive emails stating they are waiting for verification for a purchase from your credit card or various other accounts.  Be sure to check the email address as most of these will be from a private account instead of a banking institution.  Some may try to look similar to a bank or credit union, but remember your bank will reach out and contact you personally and would never ask you to provide any information such as passwords or other sensitive information over the internet.

-A message from Mayor Brickner:

I would like to wish everyone a very Happy Holidays and while 2020 was challenging for all we can take great pride in the level of support from all of you. This community has really stepped up in so many ways to help one another.  I also want to say a special thank you to all the staff at city hall.  I am honored to have worked with all of you in a very challenging 2020.  Thank you for your creativity to adapt to Covid in getting messages to the community along with face masks and PPE supplies to help our local businesses.  Our local businesses are going to need us  now more then ever so I thank you all for continuing to support local. From our family at city hall to yours, Happy Holidays!!

-The Liberty Lake Library is offering contact-free holds pickup Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm and Saturday from 10am-3pm. For more details about the service, contact the library at 509-232-2510.

-The Liberty Lake Library will close at 12pm on Thursday, December 24, and be closed on Friday, December 25 in observance of Christmas. Holds pickup service will resume on Saturday, December 26. 

-Winter Glow at Orchard Park is underway!  Lights are on for all to view and enjoy!  Support your local restaurant by stopping by for takeout after you enjoy the lights!

-The City has introduced a new app called TextMyGov that will allow citizens to text a number and receive a reply on items such as questions, concerns and ideas.
