Here are some details about the library’s closure that you may have missed!
- The library is closed until further notice.
- Will my holds still be there?
Yes! Your existing available holds will remain on the pick-up shelf for five (5) additional business days after reopening.
- Can I place any new holds?
Not at this time. This feature will be turned back on when the library reopens.
- My book is overdue, what do I do?
Most due dates have been extended to April 30, but if you have an overdue item you can simply hold on to it. It won’t block your access to the library’s online resources. You can also contact the library M-F, 10am-5pm about renewing the item.
- What about programs and events?
Unfortunately, these are all cancelled (although some programs may be rescheduled). We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience as we navigate this unprecedented and evolving situation.
- I don’t have a library card. Can I get one?
Yes, you can! Register online for a temporary eResources card. Be sure to verify your email (you’ll receive an email from support@cinlibraries.org). Then call us at 509-232-2510 from 10am-5pm, M-F to finish the registration process.
- Where can I access your digital content?
Go to the Online Library on the library’s website to find our online resources. Check the library website and Facebook often, as we are posting additional digital content and online programs.
- I live in Spokane County and know I need a SLCD card to access Overdrive ebooks. How can I get one?
Register for a SCLD card online. That should allow you to access their Overdrive catalog.
