UPDATE 11/23/19 9:58 am
LLSWD Staff are chlorinating the isolated area of the system that has had 2 E.coli positive samples this week. That area is North of Appleway. We will let that sit for 24 hours, flush, then begin the process of sampling to ensure it is safe to tie back into the larger system.
South of Appleway, and North of I-90 is free of chlorine (as of ~7:00p last night), which means our first representative samples should be collected later today. If those samples all return “Satisfactory”, a second representative set of samples will be collected. Our hope is to be able to shrink the portion of the system under boil order to just the affected area after the second set of sample results are complete.
The lifting of the boil order in the affected area would be lagged a couple days later.
