Meet the Author-Claudia Rowe

Award-winning Author to Speak about Writing and Publishing at the Liberty Lake Library

Author Claudia Rowe will be at the Liberty Lake Library on Saturday, June 8, 10:30 to noon to discuss her book The Spider and the Fly: A Writer, a Murderer and a Story of Obsession and the publishing process. Rowe will do a short reading, discuss the work behind the book and her writing process, and answer questions about writing and publishing.

Rowe is the winner of the 2018 Washington State Book Award. She has been twice nominated for the Pulitzer Prize in journalism. Her work has been published in The New York Times, The Seattle Times, Mother Jones, and A&E Biography. The Spider and the Fly combines elements of biography, memoir, and true crime as a journalist investigates a case involving a serial killer in New York state.

This event is part of the Washington Author Tour, a program sponsored by the Washington Center for the Book, bringing Washington State Book Award authors to participating libraries. The event is free and open to all.

The Washington Center for the Book promotes literacy and a love of books, reading, and libraries. It is an affiliate of the Center for the Book at the Library of Congress. The Washington Author Tour is made possible with the support of the Washington State Library and a grant from the Amazon Literary Partnership.
