2019 Utility Box Art Wraps
November 1, 2018 through January 19, 2019
The Liberty Lake Parks and Arts Commission is accepting submissions for this ongoing project. Currently, five to seven wraps will be selected annually.
Utility boxes are located throughout the City of Liberty Lake. The location of boxes identified for wraps will be announced annually on the City’s website.
This project is open to all artists, graphic designers, photographers, illustrators, and other creative individuals and groups residing in Liberty Lake, the greater Spokane area and Northern Idaho.
Public art can promote a sense of community and offer a unique identity for the City of Liberty Lake. It turns ordinary spaces into community landmarks and helps to enrich the quality of life in Liberty Lake.
The utility boxes will be enhanced using the selected artist’s design which will be printed on vinyl and wrapped around the boxes. The design shall integrate all sides of a box to create an engaging visual to capture the attention of cyclists, motorists, and pedestrians.
The selected artist(s) will receive a stipend of $350 for their digital work and will receive source recognition on the box. Boxes may also include additional sponsorship details. Artists are not responsible for fabricating or installing the vinyl wrap on the utility box.
IMAGE REQUIREMENTS AND SUBMISSION DETAILS
Artists are invited to submit up to four (4) files for consideration. Non-digital original artwork will not be accepted for this specific project.
