The City of Liberty Lake, Mayor and City Council is excited to announce that the Town Square Project has been approved for progressive design build by Washington State Project Review Committee.
The proposed Town Square Project is located in downtown Liberty Lake adjacent to the newly constructed Town Square Park. The proposed project will include a swimming pool with amenities, a 16,000+/- Community Building that will be flexible space for community events, classes, rental space, and space for the library. The cost of the entire project is estimated at $12 million. For the project to move forward, city residents will need to approve a bond measure proposed for August 2016.
Progressive Design Build is a new alternative delivery method approved by the State of Washington to deliver qualifying projects. The benefit of the progressive design build is that the project is designed and constructed in a faster manner resulting in more funds going to the construction and project amenities than the process.
