Green Washington
You can check out all of the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grants at the Recovery Act website. You can also visit the Washington State Department of Commerce and Energy Policy Division's website to check out what they are doing to help green Washington.
Solar Panels
These grant funds were used to create and implement an energy conservation plan for the City of Liberty Lake along with the installation of a 14 kWh grid tie, battery-backed solar system at the City's Police Department which will power a new Emergency Management Center. This will not only help lower energy costs but will keep the police department running for up to three days while in a power outage.

Partnerships
Liberty Lake has also been looking at how its constituents can save energy as well. We have partnered with Avista and Built Green to provide different ways for residents and business to save energy.
