Parks & Facilities

To reserve a park or facility, please contact Tait Hunter at (509) 755-6700 or email thunter@libertylakewa.gov.  Please Note: All reservations must be requested no less than 2 weeks prior to the requested date, and request does not guarantee a reservation. The City does not guarantee space or time outside of formal reservations, and park use is first come, first served outside of formal reservations.

Keys for accessing nets for tennis and pickleball at our parks' courts may be obtained from City Hall at 22710 E. Country Vista Drive during regular business hours, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays-Friday.

Movies In The Park

The movies at Pavillion Park are sponsored each summer by the city of Liberty Lake, Kiwanis Club of Liberty Lake, and Spokane Teachers Credit Union, with concessions available by the Kiwanis.  Movies start at dusk.  
Here is list of movies that occurred at Liberty Lake parks during the summer of 2022:
• Sunday, July 3:  "Ron's Gone Wrong" (at Pavillion Park)
• Friday, July 15:  "Vivo" (at Orchard Park)
• Saturday, July 16:  "Sing 2" (at Pavillion Park)
• Saturday, July 23:  "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets" (at Pavillion Park)
• Saturday, July 30:  "Spider-Man: No Way Home" (at Pavillion Park)
• Friday, Aug. 12:  "Sonic the Hedgehog 2" (at River Rock Park)
• Saturday, Aug 13:  "Encanto" (at Pavillion Park) 
Saturday, Aug. 20:  "Avengers: Endgame" (at Pavillion Park)

Barefoot In The Park 

Come each year to enjoy Liberty Lake's day-long festival of games, food, music, and fun at Pavillion Park!  The day also includes the popular Barefoot In The Park Car Show.  Barefoot in the Park is co-sponsored by the city of Liberty Lake, Kiwanis Club of Liberty Lake, and HUB Sports Center.
• Here was the schedule for the 2022 Barefoot in the Park that happened on Saturday, Aug. 6:
– 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.:  Inflatables and family games
– 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.: Business vendors open 
– 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.: Concession stand and food vendors open
– 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.: Car show hosted by Liberty Lake Kiwanis
– 11:00 a.m.: Bed races hosted by Liberty Lake Lions Club at Liberty Lake Creek Elementary School
– 12:30 p.m.: Northwest Taekwondo Academy demonstration
– 3:00 p.m.: Car show awards
– 3:00 to 8:00 p.m.: Beer garden
–  5:00 to 8:00 p.m.:  Live music with the Cable Creek Band

Liberty Lake Throw Down: Community Cornhole Tournament

•  This annual community tournament raises funds for the HUB Sports Center. See details and registration information here at HUB's Throw Down web page.  The 2022 tournament occurred on Saturday, Aug. 20, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Orchard Park.

Shakespeare In The Park

The live performances from the Montana Shakespeare in the Parks program comes to the Pavillion Park stage each summer.  For 2022, the troupe brought "King Lear" to the park on Sunday, Sept. 21, at 5 p.m.

Spokane Symphony Concert

Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2022, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.: The Spokane Symphony with musical director James Lowe returned to Pavillion Park for the 21st annual Lud Kramer Memorial Concert. The orchestra’s 59 musicians performed a program of music from popular movies, patriotic songs, high-energy classics, and even the familiar sounds of the Beatles.  

Admission was free for this event, which draws hundreds of area residents to the park for the evening.

Audiences are encouraged to arrive early to pick out their spot in the park and to bring their own chairs, blankets, and picnic dinner.  Concessions at the park will also be available from the Liberty Lake Kiwanis Club.

The annual concert is named in honor of Lud Kramer, who was instrumental in first bringing the Spokane Symphony to Pavillion Park in 2001.

This performance in the Spokane Symphony Neighborhood Concert Series was sponsored by the city of Liberty Lake and the Greenstone Foundation.

The Moving Wall

Sept. 15-19, 2022, at Pavillion Park:  Half-size scale traveling reproduction of the Vietnam Memorial was promoted locally by the Gallant Guards of Liberty.  Learn more at the Moving Wall's home page.

Free Tennis Clinics  

For 2022, clinics occurred during May 14 - July 30, 2022, at Rocky Hill Park.
Participants need to wear court shoes and bring a racquet. There is no sign up. We take all comers.
–  Kids Clinics  –  Occurred Saturdays, May 14 to July 30.  Kids 7 and under from 9 to 10 a.m.  Ages 8 to 14 from 10 to 11 a.m.
–  Adult Clinics  –  Occurred May 16 to July 28.  Mondays and Thursdays from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
–  Ladies Day –  Occurred May 17 to July 26.  Tuesdays from 9:30 to 11 a.m.

Skyhawks Summer Day Camps    Skyhawks Day Camp offers a fun, safe, and positive environment for your child during the summer months. While being introduced to a new sport each week, campers will also do arts and crafts, swimming, field trips, and many more fun activities.  Sign up for all 9 weeks and you will get over $150 off the camp price.
