Refund Policy for Recreation Programs

Program Cancellation

The City of Liberty Lake reserves the right to cancel any program, event, class, or activity due to insufficient enrollment.  In such cases, all registrants will be notified and receive a full refund.  Please understand that the City of Liberty Lake strives to offer the best programs at the most reasonable prices possible.  Accordingly, we must establish minimum and maximum class sizes.


Program Withdrawal

The City of Liberty Lake understands that it may be necessary for you, or the person you registered to withdraw from a program.  Any requests for withdrawal must be made in writing and submitted to Recreation Services: 22710 E. Country Vista Drive Liberty Lake, WA 99019.  Withdrawal requests received at least 5 business days prior to the start of a program will be given a full refund.  Any cancellation or withdrawal made 4 business days or less prior to the start of the program will be issued a 50% refund.  Once a program has started, there will be no refunds except for the following cases:

• Medical Reasons when proper documentation from a doctor is provided (i.e. doctor's note).
• The vacated spot can be filled by another person.  This is the responsibility of the original registrant.

Such cases stated above will receive a pro-rated refund for any unattended dates.

Refunds

Refunds for payment made by cash or check will be issued by check within 3 weeks after the withdrawal request has been processed.  For payment made by credit card, the refund will be issued within 2 weeks after the withdrawal request has been processed.  Refunds may also be applied towards other recreation programs offered within the next 6 months.  Any outstanding balance for programs with a greater cost must be paid immediately.  When transferred into a program with a lower cost than the original program, a refund for the balance will be issued.  All refunds for payment made by credit card, except for programs cancelled by the City, are subject to convenience/processing fees.  NO REFUNDS will be given for Carriage Rides or for tickets purchased through the City of Liberty Lake for group sporting events.

Surcharges

The City of Liberty Lake may charge a 4.5% surcharge (or convenience/processing) fee for selected programs for registration and payment made by credit/debit card on our website.  This fee is waived for most programs.  For more information, please contact Recreation Services at (509) 755-6726.
