Conservation Awareness

The City of Liberty Lake has been working hard to find new ways for everyone to save energy.

In December 2009 the City of Liberty Lake received an Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) from the United States Department of Energy and the Washington State Department of Commerce.

These grant funds were used to create and implement an energy conservation plan for the City of Liberty Lake along with the installation of a 14 kWh grid tie, battery-backed solar system at the City's Police Department which will power a new Emergency Management Center.  If you would like to see how much energy the solar panels are producing click here for live, real time data.

Liberty Lake has also been looking at how its constituents can save energy as well. We have partnered with Avista and Built Green to provide different ways for residents and business to save energy.
