Mayor's Corner
The Liberty Lake community, nestled in the mountains with the lake and river adding to its beauty, is unique with its rich history. We are well known for our seasonal events such as our Easter Egg and All Fools' hunts, free concerts in the park, triathalons, parades, and fireworks. Our holiday lighting festivities also attract the communities of this region to the area.

|
This close-knit community is well known for being master planned, and its exceptional quality of life, with three golf courses, vast trails and park systems. We have a vibrant, diverse area with thriving businesses located off I-90.
Liberty Lake residents are best known for their generosity in volunteerism and community activism. The City has been recognized nationally as a Tree City USA, is a Bicycle Friendly Community Award winner, and our Youth Commission has received the distinguished 2008 Chase Youth Award.
|
If you are new to the area, stop by our City Hall. I am looking forward to meeting you!

Mayor's Message - Feb/Mar 2010
As we begin a new year, let's celebrate some of the great accomplishments we have completed together! How many of you realize that the City of Liberty Lake has reduced taxes 3 times since 2001, making us the second lowest levy rate in Spokane County? Your City Council has set aside 15% of the general fund to keep us fiscally sound in this economy. We are always looking for sustainability in everything we do, and are stretching your tax dollar as far as it can go.
We will be celebrating many events-starting with the annual pancake feed with Kiwanis, Easter Egg Hunt in the morning and All Fool's Hunt in the evening. Come join us on Saturday, April 3rd! Look for the details within the newsletter.
Our seniors will be adding an extra day for Meals on Wheels! Join us on Monday and Wednesday at City Hall for lunch and activities. Our recreation department is partnering up with Spokane Valley to offer even more incredible activities for both the young and young at heart!
Rocky Hill Park will be completed this summer! A huge thank you for the donation of land from Greenstone and grant funding from Washington State.
Looking forward to volunteering with you!
Mayor Wendy Van Orman
