"Preserving Yesterday, Informing today, Inspiring tomorrow"
Liberty Lake Municipal Library is the realization of a dream of the Friends of the Library Community Group which formed shortly after the 2001 incorporation of the City of Liberty Lake, Washington. Starting in a basement, the Friends of the Library obtained donated space from the Greenstone Corporation in its Liberty Square Building Headquarters.
Becoming a Municipal Library
Friends of the Library and dedicated volunteers collected books and organized a community library that opened in 2001. In 2002, the Friends of the Library deeded the library to the City of Liberty Lake, at which time it became a municipal library and a department of the city.
Liberty Lake Municipal Library enriches and advances the intellectual, cultural, and creative vitality of our extended community by establishing and maintaining avenues to information resources that support those interests, delivering them with personal service in a fast, courteous, and knowledgeable manner.
The Library Board is an appointed body responsible for setting the goals and vision for the Library. Visit their page for information on meetings, minutes, and contacting the Board.
